Fall Learning and Childcare Resources

With many of our industry workers unable to send their kids back to school in the fall, SMACNA-WW has put together a list of Learning and Childcare Resources to help navigate this difficult time. We have also set up a forum on Microsoft Teams where parents in the industry can connect and organize resources for their kids (POD leaning, tutoring, childcare, etc.). If you have any other additional resources to add to this list, please contact SMACNA-WW.

Low Income Families

Help paying for child care

Seattleā€™s Child Care Assistance Program helps working families and parents going to school, who are eligible and live within the Seattle city limits, pay for child care services for children up to 13 years old.

Working Connections Child Care (WCCC) is a Washington State program that helps families with low incomes pay for child care. When a family qualifies for child care subsidy benefits and chooses an eligible provider, the state pays a portion of the cost of child care.

Early learning and child care support

Childcare Aware of Washington is committed to the success of every young child and every child care provider across our state. We connect families to high-quality child care and early learning programs, and we support child care providers who deliver high-quality care. They also provide information regarding options for child care financial support.

Child Care Resources: Since 1990, Child Care Resources has helped to build a strong early learning system for all children in King County. They work with families, caregivers, and early learning professionals, and collaborate with community partners to ensure that every child has a great start.

Both are trusted resources for families seeking child care in Washington state and are available by phone or email to help families explore their early learning options.
